Abstract

To correlate the subjective and objective factors that affect the academic performance of students in the Banking and Finance major at the Facultad Regional Multidiciplinaria de Carazo (FAREM-Carazo) UNAN-Managua, in the 2011-2015 period, an observational, correlational and analytical study is presented. A study which is traditionally analyzed only as a descriptive study. By applying the nonparametric statistical tests V of Cramer, Tau–Kendall´s C and Phi, the evolution of the study is facilitated. Considering as a primordial factor, the nature of the variables to possess a well-defined statistical structure; in addition to have clear premises to construct the correlation or association among the variables, these premises must be written in the form of hypotheses, which guide the purpose of the study.
