The use of audiovisual materials to develop oral proficiency in the English language

The process of teaching the English language in primary school in Nicaragua had its first step in 2018. The teaching of English was the beginning of a strategy oriented by the Ministry of Education (MINED) to provide better growth opportunities in the linguistic field to the new generations. Due to this progress in education, the present project was carried out, which is a qualitative study that describes the use of audiovisual materials for the development of oral competence in the English language at elementary school with second grade students. In addition, this project proposes strategies that facilitate the teaching-learning process for teachers and students, who want to delve into the creation and implementation of new strategies that enrich the teaching of English at the primary education level.
