Analysis of the university extension at UNAN-Managua

Abstract

The National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, UNAN Managua incorporated the University Extension function in the nineties, its initial implementation being bumpy, identifying itself as one of the functions least developed by the university community. In 2019, it is incorporated into the Statutes and the Extension Policy is created, which identifies eleven areas of interaction of the University with society: scholarships, continuing education, physical education and sports, art and culture, research, innovation and entrepreneurship, practices, programs and projects, healthy university, state - company and society and social volunteering, which, in this Essay, are analyzed and grouped considering the individual, professional training and society scope, evidencing that the Extension and Social Projection it flows from the particular to the general, transcending from the individual to society
