Information For Authors

In order to meet international criteria and standards, the Torreón Universitario Magazine has updated its criteria for receiving and evaluating articles.

For the presentation of articles the requirements are:

  1. The texts submitted must have the following length: minimum 12 pages and maximum 15 pages. A maximum of 20 pages is allowed for review articles.
  2. Articles must be transcribed in Times New Roman 12 point font, the writing must be justified, margins of 3 cm and letter size, with 1.5 cm space between lines. They should be sent to the email: revis.torreon.faremc@unan.edu.ni
  3. Documents must be submitted in a recent version of the Microsoft Word for Windows word processor.
  4. The citation system in the writing and the list of bibliographic references must conform to the recommendations of the American Psychological Association [APA] Manual of Publication Style, latest edition.
  5. All articles must present the title, summary and keywords in Spanish and English.
  6. Research articles (results or advances) must include a footnote, on the first page, which specifies: the title of the research or project, institutional context, line of research, participants, funding data , start and end dates.
  7. The author must send, along with the article and his/her personal information, a signed (scanned) letter in which he/she certifies that:
    • The author or authors authorize the Journal and the Institution to edit, publish and disseminate the article in the Journal.
    • The article is original: the text is the product of a research and/or inquiry process by the author and has been previously evaluated by expert colleagues before being submitted for publication. In addition, it is required that it has not been published, accepted or submitted for publication in another magazine or website on the Internet. 
    • The author or authors assume the editorial policies and guidelines of the authors' guide and the ethical, truthful and conceptual responsibility of the article. Likewise, the contents, links and graphic and/or audiovisual material used by the author(s) are their responsibility, and do not generate commitments towards third parties on the part of the Magazine and the Institution. The opinions or judgments issued by collaborators do not compromise the institutional philosophy.
    • Note: in the case of several authors, the signatures of all must appear on the letter.
  8. In an attached letter, the author(s) must provide the following information: full names and surnames, identification document number, personal and institutional email, ORCID number, landline and cell phone numbers, institutional affiliation, academic training and recent publications ( If you have them, give the complete bibliographic data).
  9. The Journal reserves the right to publish the articles according to the results of the evaluation.
