Abstract

Since 2015, when the process of implementation of      the UDELAS Strategic Plan 2014-2018 began, a stage      of consolidation of outreach work in territories      began, which closed its period with the approval      by the academic council of several regulations and      management tools of the Community Work Program      at UDELAS.

Based on the UDELAS Strategic Plan 2019-2023,      the task of developing the implementation of the      Community Work Model at UDELAS involves several      aspects. Goals of growth in the number of territories      to be served, integration of actions between the      substantive functions of public universities, teaching,      research and extension, in a work strategy, which      adjusts the role of the university as a whole, from a      less transfer-oriented linkage and more supportive      community accompaniment are contemplated.

This new relationship with social actors must have      characteristics of greater capacity to exchange      knowledge and establish relationships that allow us      to collectively create and implement new ideas of      human development for populations with high levels      of vulnerability. I understand that vulnerability can be      due to environmental, social, economic and violence      risks, which are generated by the levels of social      inequality in the country.

The document makes an analysis of the work route that      was undertaken since 2017, with the approval of the      Community Work Model, and that to date have results      that are necessary to evaluate from the point of view      of the management of the Community Work Program      in Friendly Communities of UDELAS and the Portfolio      of Community Projects, which attest to the activities      of community accompaniment in the territories.
