Climate change is affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting different lives. Weather systems are changing, sea levels are rising, and weather events are becoming more extreme. It is one of the deepest survival crises that humanity is experiencing, along with poverty, inequality and COVID-19. The planet faces a problem that is not only environmental, but planetary.This scientific article entitled: A retrospective analysis of climate change in Nicaragua 1950-2023, is part of the Environment and Climate Change course, as part of the academic program of the Master's Degree in Development Studies of the Casa de la Soberanía Miguel D'Escoto Brockmann UNAN-Managua, its main objective is to analyze climate change in Nicaragua from the 1950s to the present.For the development of these lines, bibliographic records were used based on different sources on the subject in question, compiled within the heuristic search for the sake of enrichment and construction of a critical-reflexive analysis. It is meritorious to deepen, as part of the scientific work and social commitment, as professionals with a comprehensive training and environmental awareness of care and love for mother earth, the environment and the mitigation of climate change at the country level.
