Abstract

The spatial analysis has become important recently. The inclusion of spatial effects in a traditional beta convergence model is a useful extension for this framework, owing to the increasingly interaction among different regions.

This paper reviews some techniques to identify and include spatial correlation. Also, the heterogeneity is taken in count, and some solutions are commented in order to consider this problem in the convergence studies.
