Learning is a key element in any educational process, and the development of new technologies, including artificial intelligence, allows us to ask ourselves how we are linking ourselves to this new reality. This paper aims to present a photograph in an educational institution that is inserted in the use of generative artificial intelligences linked to active methodologies in the third cycle of secondary education. The methodology used is qualitative to explore the perceptions and interests regarding the familiarity with which generative artificial intelligences are used. Focus groups were conducted with students, interviews with teachers, and a survey was applied to students in the fifth cycle. Among the most significant results is that AI increases the interest and participation of students in the classroom, generating more dynamic learning environments. However, there are barriers related to teacher resistance and fear of technology dependency. Teacher training plays a key role in breaking down these barriers and ensuring appropriate use by the student population.
