Abstract

The factors associated with the quality of academic performance (AR) in higher education students, is the sum of complex factors that act on the person who learns, it has been defined with a value attributed to the student's achievement in academic tasks through the qualifications obtained, with a quantitative and qualitative assessment, thus showing the degree of academic success or failure, over time. Students' AR performance has been aff ected by different influencing factors: demographic, social and economic; it is not possible to analyze a student's performance without taking into account where they come from (socioeconomic level, previous studies), their cultural habits, the educational system and the institution in which you study, at the same time this is a key component to determine if an institution is achieving its academic objectives or if this is having an impact on the quality of higher education, which is based on the distinction and exclusivity, so that the university personalizes quality linked to academic excellence.
