Abstract

Over time, changes advance in all areas of life; in the scientific and technological field, important demands have been revealed in the light of these changes. The purpose of this research work was to evaluate the development of comprehensive skills through clinical simulation within the ECOE strategy, in second-year Nursing undergraduate students; Delving into the new curriculum by competence and incorporated into the 2021 study plan, the new trends in higher education have revealed creative methodologies that strengthen the evaluation methods of the teachinglearning process, so that new tools have been diversified. Methodological with the aim of capturing the attention of nursing students in a context of emerging curricular change, an opportune moment to apply innovative learning evaluation strategies that facilitate objective understanding of the social, political and economic context of the country, through situations that simulate the existing reality, this leads to the achievement of technical and non-technical skills, critical understanding skills, decision making and construction of new knowledge. Evaluation processes have never been a simple task, therefore, we must find that balance point between the greater and lesser complexity of the evaluation process, where the student is part of it. Clinical simulation in nursing is a useful tool for initial training in health, preventing the minimum number of errors prior to direct contact with the patient in therapeutic units.
