Abstract

This article deals with matters related to the       implementation and putting into practice of the       Escuela Nueva methodology as an active teachinglearning       model. The study was carried out with       students of the Agricultural Engineering career of       the National University of Engineering, in the subject       of Sociology. In the implementation of this academic       practice, the fieldwork method became necessary,       which can be applied both in urban contexts, as is done       in the Countryside University Program in Nicaragua by       different universities that offer the service, such as       universities that have campuses in urban areas.       In the development of this research, different       techniques were applied such as: observation and       interviews, in which it became necessary to create       instruments so that project proposals could be       developed based on the field work carried out by       the students in different territories and contexts,       demonstrating the validity of this pedagogical model.
