STUDENT MOBILITY IN PROGRESS IN FAREM – MATAGALPA, UNAN-MANAGUA, NICARAGUA.

Abstract

The internationalization of higher education is a tool that every day takes a lot of importance in the educational, cultural and social field. A few years ago, academic mobility in our country was a topic that was heard very little. At present, as a consequence of globalization, the internationalization of higher education has become a necessity that fosters the global mentality in an interconnected world where professionals require skills and abilities that allow them to develop in new social, cultural and educational settings. Our university has taken the challenge in the search for opportunities that stimulate the educational quality and integration of an international and intercultural perspective in the learning. The purpose of this essay is to describe the academic mobility as a crucial means in the internationalization of higher education in FAREM-Matagalpa through the review of documents, conversations with professors and students; and the application of a structured interview to a professor and a student.
