This report gives an account of the results obtained in an investigation focused on lowering the level of spelling errors after observing repeated failures in his writings in a pretest. A spelling seminar was implemented in which literacy strategies and motivational activities were worked on. The study was applied to a group of 100 eighth grade students in the district of Panama. The general results show that in the writing of words with c / s / z there was a decrease in errors
by 13%. Serious deficiencies were found in the general management of spelling.
