Reflections on the curricularization of the university-society linkage in the National Autonomous University of Honduras

The National Autonomous University of Honduras promotes strategies for the curricularization of the function of linkage with society, which integrates teaching and research; and that may be attached to the training process of current careers. This impulse is based on the reformist ideas of the Latin American University about the integration of substantive functions and the democratization of higher education, in search of a more relevant university model. The article outlines a tour of the events and conferences from the university extension function, where approaches to comprehensiveness, the hierarchy of the extension function and the comprehensive curricular practices are evidenced. This debate has been sustained especially by university extension management teams, based on networking in spaces such as the Central American System of University Relations SICAUS and the Latin American Union of University Extension ULEU, especially in the last decade. The curricularization of the linking function is based on the Educational Model of the UNAH, which proposes a series of integrating principles and axes, to curricularize comprehensive practices aimed at solving the most prevailing national problems. Both political and methodological challenges are posed for the construction of strategies that transform the current academic organization and that make room for a process of curricularization of integral practices consistent with the Educational Model of the UNAH.
