Abstract

Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) are three main pillars considered vital in human and economic development. There are various sectors that have benefited from the implementation of CTI, such as health, agriculture and education. The main objective of this essay is to analyze the achievements of CTI in higher education at a national and international level. For this purpose, information on the subject was collected for proper organization and analysis through literature review. In conclusion, it was found that the universities are working hard for the implementation of CTI. Likewise, some institutions show great interest in establishing CTI to improve the quality of life of citizens through the creation of public policies. However, there is still a lag in terms of progress achieved, which indicates that concrete plans must be created to stimulate the implementation of CTI in higher education.
