Abstract

In this essay reviews of theory and reflections are made on proposals for a New Economy and an Economy for Life. The material is focused on the rational and critical perspective, making a broad bibliographic review on the subject. The main conclusion is that the mentioned proposals do not include an indicator that allows evaluating the perception or feeling of the members of society about the performance of these economic models, and recommends the inclusion of a model of psychophysics that allows to measure the relationship between the objective magnitude of an economic stimulus and the cognitive perception of this stimulus.
